Over the top Make-up

Maybelline’s New York, limited-edition 2011 Calendar.

I know it´s quite “old”, but I just love this over-the-top make-up shoot. Unfortunately, these calendars cannot be purchased–only 1,250 were produced and sent to selected media. Too bad, I would buy one calendar 😦

The set for the shoot was Pier 59 Studios in New York, featuring models Erin Wasson, Julia Stegner, Emily DiDonato, Jessica White, Shui Pei-Qin, Lisalla Montenegro and Charlotte Kemp Muhl.
Charlotte Willer, Maybelline’s Global Make Up Artist was the lead MUA on set and worked with photographer Kenneth Willardt.

Vibrant, brilliant and colorful! LOV.E

  1. I enjoy the disordered wit of these domestic scenes (fixing the toilet, raiding the refrigerator). The dog-walking shot is especially saucy!

  2. Wow, this is truly beautiful! I love your blog 🙂
Also, I really enjoy this sort of work because it showcases that colour doesn’t have to mean primaries! It works just as well in beige and grey tones like the ones seen in the kitchen and the baby photo.

  3. Your use of color is stunning. I like the sense of humor in your photographs. The people who hire you for their fashion work are certainly getting more than their moneys worth.

  4. These are amazing! I love the funny side to your photos – and the comic book style that you’ve used for a couple images are really stunning! Also the third image is sooo neon and 80s – just brilliant!
